1. Do Your Research

From healthcare to hospitality, a job in logistics and supply chain management could take you anywhere. You could work for the government or a large retail corporation. Wherever you go, goods need to be procured, stored, and delivered, meaning every industry requires professionals with this expertise.

Start conducting research to learn what kinds of opportunities exist across industries, as well as the types of roles available and their requirements. Are you interested in a job as an analyst? What are managers looking for in new procurement managers? What kind of education is required in this career path? You may need to enroll in continuing education classes or a certificate program.

2. Pick One Area

Whether it’s forecasting or distribution planning, logistics and supply chain management could lead you in many directions. After you’re done researching different jobs available, zero in on the specific title that interests you.
